For the athletes who placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd at the 2021 APU Collate National championships, you may apply for an exemption to participate in the APU state qualifier for the 2022 State Championships. However there are some important requirements for you to consider if you are to be accepted.
1. You must have placed 1st 2nd or 3rd at the aligning championships you are applying an exemption for. (Eg: If you participated and placed 1st 2nd or 3rd in the 2021 APU Collate Masters bench press championships, you can only apply for an exemption to participate in the 2022 APU State Masters Bench Press Championships).
2. You must "apply" for the exemption. If you fail to apply, you will need to qualify in an event in order to participate in 2022 States.
3. Your application must be submitted before the close of entries in the qualifying event.
4. You must make yourself available to assist in the qualifying event. The meet director or APU may utilise you in roles such as spotter and loader, referee, or marshall. Failing to assist may result in your exemption being revoked.
